Couple question regardig my car

Currently drive a 2009 Nissan rouge SL
I would like to upgrade the headlights to HID 4300K or 6000K but I'm not sure which mode of headlights I have. I looked into the manual and it says 2 different models a halogen and a xenon model. How do I find out which model I have.

<br >

Also any Specific brand windshield wiper blades you guys recommend to buy or just buy anything with good reviews and cheap ?

Bro you need to stop making new threads everyday, you can contain them all in one .

They are all about you and your same car. If you were dealing with a model specific forum, maybe this would fly, but when there are multiple users with a ton of different cars in one forum, all the cars you own tend to fall under one thread.

Curious why you're asking questions about your red Nissan on an Acura forum. If it were me, I'd be on a Nissan forum.

+1

Unless you have the premium package and it's AWD then you have halogen.. Now please either go buy an Acura or go to the Nissan board. This site is dedicated to owners who own/have owned Acura's.

I highly doubt that's true. But if it were, what I'd do is take out the bulb and look at it. A D2R and H11 bulb don't look the same. And chances are there's printing on the bulb indicating what type it is. Why make things more difficult than it needs to be?

Your Google search skills need improvement, I think. It's difficult to imagine the Nissan forums being dead with the legions of Z-car and Maxima fans, as well as the 240SX groupies.
This one seems alive: 2016 Rogue switching headlight bulbs? - Nissan Forum .

Is this your car? Appears to have reflector housings so d2r but probably a bad idea, looks like they would produce some major glare. I doubt you care about that but others driving around you do and the 6000k in non xenon housings looks so cheap and trashy.

NONE!

with reflectors, you're just going to throw light into people's faces and thats a big NO NO!

you need to slow down, chris.
I know you want to modify, but you need to understand the reasons why things are done.

if you stick HID lighting into your non-projector housings, you're going to be that DICK on the road who blinds people.
Respect others on the road and dont blind people

a retrofit, Chris....is taking new items and fitting them into an old housing.
so, you can buy projectors and retrofit it into your Rogue's old head light housing..

the projectors focus light in a different way than reflectors. one "projects" light, and the other "reflects" light.

in order to prevent blinding oncoming drivers, you need projectors!!

Or you can just aim them ridiculously low like what BMW did to its LEDs
Fuk reflectors!

So what, that's why he's posting in the Car Talk and not in the specific Acura/Honda section.

He should be warned to post in the same thread about his car instead of posting new threads.

Hmmm, maybe work on reading before working on cars.

No hid in reflector housings unless the housing was made for it (yours is not unless you have factory hid). While a retro projector is an option, I don't think you would want to take that on.

Best bet, go jewel eyes....

Well. . . considering you got an answer 3 days ago on a Nissan specific forum and continue to linger here with this thread, I'd tend to disagree.

Hey, look what I found!!

The name of the forum alone states the requirement.

You don't go to a Ford forum and ask Chevrolet questions.

yeah, I don't get it either. I'm not trying to dissuade Chrisg1199 from joining BUT he obviously knows he's on the wrong board to answer Nissan Rogue questions. I would strongly encourage him to hang around, learn the ropes and NOT post Rogue specific questions because, well, Rogues are not a vehicle you see a lot of talk about y'know?

No it doesn't. As the banner up top states, this forum is a resource for all things Acura. That doesn't mean you must own or have owned an Acura to join. What if someone likes and is interested in the Acura brand but based on their line up, doesn't know when, if ever, they'd buy one? Are they not allowed to join to talk about the company, their products, and stay up to date on Acura news?

You statement that "he has no business being on here" because "he doesn't own an Acura/Honda and never has" implies that the answer is no.

I understand that the OP is asking questions about his Nissan which is unusual. But that's not the point I'm addressing.

Besides, I don't see it as being much different than people posting about their non-Acura/non-Honda cars. You did it with your Mustang --> https://acurazine.com/forums/car-tal...g-what-945570/ .

Have you seen the Automotive News section? Guess what? There are a lot of threads there about cars that are not Acuras or Hondas.

I'm entitled to my own opinion just as anyone else is.
Also I never bought the Mustang since I backed out at the last minute and I actually have an Acura.

Not to defend the guy, but I think that generation Rogue with the OEM HID option uses a reflector housing, like the older Altima.

To see what type of bulb your car uses, you can just look at the bottom of the headlight..it usually says on there in tiny letters. Or pop the hood and look behind the housing..if you see high voltage warnings all over them, then they are more than likely HID

But in all honesty, if you can't tell the difference between Xenon and halogen, you don't need to be messing with it.
