2002 tl passenger side m front motor latch assembly

I tried changing out my actuator today and was following some FYIdirections but it looks klike I was on the wrong generation of acura and I messed up the latchmotor so I need to replace it. I am assuming I have to take apart the door handle in order to install a new one. Can anyone post a play by play in order for this fix? It is greatly appreciated.
The door panel has already been removed. Thx again

The link below is for a 2000 TL left front door but, it should still work for the right front door.

Are you sure you broke it? I'm thinking the linkage is out of adjustment?

Yes I'm sure it is broken. First , i realized i was following diy on a tsx. Everything was the same except how to remove the long rod going up to the outside handle. Looks like this cant be removed at the actuator assembly end and well i broke the little plastic piece holding that tight. I camnot believe that is even made of plastic. The long rod going up to the door handle looks like according to the link you sent me can be removed by force with a flat tip screwdriver and I won't have to remove the handle. Will this go on the reverse order easily? Also, even if that could be repaired I broke the plastic part holding the smaller rod that I think goes into the lock cylinder. So I'm off to the junk yard or eBay to replace that. Doesn't look that much more complicated if I can remove that rod that goes to the door handle. Any thoughts?

Oh and I forgot to ask, how do I get the door open if none of the latch handles work?

^^ Installing the rods.

The big rod will just pop back in place with no prob. It's important not to rotate the rod barrow-nut or the adjustment will be a little off (the spot/actual point when the lock opens the door).

The C clip will go back will a little work but not too bad. Best to use a long flat screw driver and pry or push it back in place.

If for some reason you remove the lock cylinder the install the large U clip in door handle first and the just push the lock cylinder back on through the U clip.

Blue... Push down to open the door.

Green... Move back n forth to lock/unlock.

Thx again 01acls. Another success story. Pulled the part from a local place and learned how to pop that rod off pretty quick so I wouldn't mess up the one I had in my car or do anymore damage. Took me roughly 30 min. To install new one and button up my panel. Thanks again.
