Wheel Refinishing

My 2011 TL has the 18" SH-AWD wheels on it and they are about the same color as the vehicle (palladium metallic). I'm assuming the wheels came from the factory this way. I prefer the brighter matte finish though, so I'm contemplating having them refinished (remove paint and re-apply clear coat). Is there a version of this wheel that came in the bright aluminum alloy color to begin with? Another option is to sell them and get the 19" factory wheels, which I actually like a little better. I don't really want to hassle with selling the 18" wheels though.

There are two stock finishes on the 18" 09-11 wheel, a charcoal and a hyper silver. The silver is the brighter of the two.

If your 18" tires need replacing, then this may be the perfect time to upgrade to 19" adv wheels. Re-powder coating your existing 18's will be 1-125 per wheel.

I definitely wouldn't consider them charcoal, so they must be the hyper silver. Not too hyper to me though. They are a shade darker than the palladium metallic paint. My TL looks exactly like the one on top and I want it to look like the one on the bottom. The only thing holding me back is the $379 per wheel price tag. I could buy refurbished, but I'd rather not because who knows what I'll get or how long the finish will last. If I can sell my 18's then that would make my decision much easier (why is there no classifieds section on this site???)

the 1st image w/ 18's has the hyper silver finish.

Below is my car, those 18's are charcoal finish, which IMO looks better overall, but particularly on darker colors.
