Debateable, way too many factors to say either way. Chances are he will make gains in the top-end but will lose some low-end power. If the car was tracked it would help, but if you're a stop light racer it's probably just going to hurt you. Heat-soak is also a factor depending on where you live.

Just to throw it out there, I was thinking of getting an extension pipe for this K&N IF I wanted to make it Cold air. It looks like I just have to take the resonator out and get a pipe that goes 90 and straight down. Obviously its gonna be a little more complex than what I said, but why wouldnt it work? Inputs, and help please!

To be honest i won't mess with that, that's sounds like something that will void your warranty. I'm adding the J-pipe once available and a exhaust system to get more HP. I wish they make a tuning for the engine.
