So.. I looked up the thread on how to sync my key to my car so I can access the keyless remote settings. I resynced it and tried to access the settings but it stil wont let me change the settings. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

You don't need to do anything to the remote first-- just set the MID settings first. IIRC, the car must be in "P" or "N" with the ignition in "On" position before the MID settings can be changed-- it's well explained in the owner's manual.

The remotes can be linked after the MID setting changes.

If you do not have an owner's or navi manual, register your car at http://owners.acura.com/ and you'll get access to the on-line version of the manuals.

Welcome to AZ.

the settings are "keyless remote settings". Every time i try and change them it says my remote must be linked first. Well, it is linked.. i unlock and lock the car with it every single day.. i dont know why it wont let me change them.

Yes-- the procedure I mentioned above is for the '04-'06, which does not require any linking of the remote before doing the keyless remote settings through the MID.

Did you look at your owner's manual on the Multi-Information Display to see if the procedure was modified for the '07-'08 switchblade keys?

Oh, "linking" the remotes is not just so they open the car (they open the door locks regardless)-- you need to hold the open and close buttons down simultaneously for a few seconds until the light on each remote blinks, which links the remotes. Did you do that?
Linking is also in the owner's manual.

I looked in the manual and couldnt find anything on linking. I erased the keyfob from the vehicle so it wouldnt unlock any doors or lock them. Then, i used Ron's steps from the link in this thread and it relinked the fob to the vehicle so the doors will unlock lock etc. But, when i go to change the settings for user 1 in the MID it says it cannot be done until the remote is linked. No idea why this is happening.

I think you "programmed" the remote to work with the locks on the car, rather "linked" it to the car as necessary to work with the Keyless Memory Settings.

To link the remote, see the owner's manual under the "Recalling a Memorized Driving Position" section:

the default settings.
To turn it back on, repeat this
procedure.
The LED will come on

Try that, then go to the MID, etc...
