Lowering a stock TSX V6 W/ 18's
Anyone got any thought's on lowering a TSX V6 with the 18" rims? I will eventually replace the 18's with an aftermarket (Mugen Probably), but wanted to get some opinions.
Will dropping around 1.4 in the front and 1.2 in the rear cause any rubbing? Will I have to go with a lower profile tire (currently stock tire)?
Ideally I don't wanna move up to 19's since I don't feel like dropping 400+ dollars a corner for tires.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

im dropped 1.6 front and 1.4 rear using Tein S Tech springs
18" G35 OEM wheels 5x114.3 +30 offset
tires are 225/40/18 and i have no rubbing
i need 235/40/18 or 235/45/18 to get meaty tires
They don't have springs for the V6 yet.
You also won't have the option of going with lower profile tires since you're not plus-sizing your rims. You can only decrease the profile (sidewall height) when you go up in rim size so that the overall diameter is the same.
I doubt you'd have any problems with rubbing with that kind of drop.

Eibach and H&R make springs for the TSX V6. You can pull the model number from their site and plug that into google to search for lowest price. Drop is between 1"-1.3" I have 18x8.5" wheels with +45 off-set on mine with no issues at all (245/40/18 tire size). As long as you don't go to wide with the 19s you should be just fine with no rubbing.
0.8 drop from Eibach Pro-kit. Spring part number: 4079.140
1.3 drop from H&R. Spring part number: 50152-2
These springs have been out for a little while now so lots of places including Ebay sellers have them listed.

I'll try to snap some pics in the next couple of days. Since the V6 already has a lower ride then the 4cy the .8 drop from the Prokit is perfect IMO. I have about a 1 finger gap front and rear. No change at all in ride quality. You do feel the bumps a bit more when you hit one but regular driving you would never know it was lower.

I'm late on this, but you can drop your TSX on the stock wheels without rubbing. I was running stock wheels on our V6 model for a few months without any issues, and the car was very low. The coilovers I'm using are Tein's that will be released for the V6 model in the near future. They were set very low to test ride quality and reliability, and they're outstanding.

^i seen your thread a lil while ago. Damn that's static! I'm debating on going with teins ss, or ksport, I heard teins won't go that low? Where as ksports will.. However how is the ride on yours? Ksports come with pillow ball hat thing right?
Teins are great but yeah wont go as low, Im ver happy with the ksports dont have nothing bad to say and yes they come complete. You can also look into Megan EZ's as well there good cheap and they also go lowwwww
Thanks, for me It's a gamble between tein ss, or ksports. Here in Hawaii we have shitty roads tho, alotta pot holes etc. and I've heard that pillowball mounts offers a rougher ride.. But i also want the option of slamming the car at times..
like hollywood said megans are a good choice, i have them, except my ride quality is horrible since i maxed them and im on the stiffest settings lol. but they are pretty easy to adjust as long as you got the tools like a jack and what not.
