Is my clutch ok?

About 4 days ago i did an ebrake burnout in my car (i rarely abuse my car like this), and my clutch was smelling bad until i put my car back in the garage.

Today was the first time i drove it since those 4 days and my clutch immediately started smelling again as i was pulling it out of the garage.

When i drove it, it was making a hard un-usual "thump" every time i shifted.

After about 10 minutes, it stopped and the car is shifting normal now, but it still smells like clutch!

The clutch only has 1500 miles on it and is the OEM one.

The car is shifting normal now and doesn't slip but was still smelling like clutch off and on.

Is my clutch OK? Is it possible it could just be "recovering" from that burnout considering i only put around 15 miles on this car a week?

How exactly did you go about breaking the clutch in? Is it slipping or does it just smell? You could have glazed the disc. Drive easy on it and it should clear up.

UPDATE: Just drove it again and the smell is going away.

Civic, tell me more about glazing the disc? It sounds like that's what happened because it's almost normal now.

u glaze the disc by improperly shifting and/or improper launch technique.

the clutch gets hot and gets really shiny and smooth and no longer grabs.

exactly what it says

Yup. Its along the same lines of glazing your brake rotors. In that case, you re-bed them and all is good. With the clutch you just drive normally.

From your description yea, you glazed it. If you want to go fast, do it correctly.

I do drive correctly.... just don't do e-brake burnouts correctly

So your basicly saying my car will drive fine as long as i don't abuse it like that again?

Yep go easy for some miles & it should be ok. Let it wear back in.
I'm surprised you were able to use the parking brake for that. It's a POS on this car. Doesn't hold well at all.
