3/22 is the meet in NY so we may want to go with 4/5 or 4/12...you are right I should have done it myself lol. Anyway, let me rack my brain to come up with some good spots. I'm in though

 

Theres a few parks along 91 that would be easy to get to:

Keney Park
Meadows Park
Barber's Pond

Never been to any of them though.

 

my family is in ct so if i have the cash for tolls and gas ill be there

Elizabeth Park in West Hartford maybe?? I think there are grills there and there should be plenty of parking.

I'll have to check to see when I have the weekend off, but I def wanna make it to one of those meets. My boat is stationed in portsmouth, nh, but the car is staying in jewett city, ct til the weather gets nice. I'll still bring it out to meets and stuff, but otherwise she stays covered.

 

^ jewett city is 5 mins from me. I can go over and take it out for a spin for you every now and then, warm it up a little...

hahahah dude when we say TBD we mean to be determined (i think thats your confusion). We are looking into a few places, elizabest park in w. hartford and the berlin tpke come to mind. We should have a location in a week.

if you're looking to do berlin turnpike..you could do sage park..thats just about the only spot..or even circuit city since that place should be clearing out pretty soon. how about CCSU?

 

The berlin turnpike sounds like a great spot, very central in the state, but the cops up there are dicks.

 

^ yes I agree but if nobody does anything stupid they should not bother us.

I was thinking something along the lines of meeting up at Sage Park, conversate and maybe some pics, then crusing over to the go-carts or batting cages (something fun!), then maybe some food for whoever is hungry. If there are not that many of us this could be a good time but I do not want it to turn in to a typical night at the tnpk...you guys know what I mean. I dunno I'm checkin out some parks Sun/Mon so I'll let you guys know. I am VERY undecided about this...

 

Berlin turnpike is notorious for street racing so yeah the cops are always dicks.. it sucks because i bet once they see all the acuras roll in they will get crazy.. hopefully not

The berlin cops always threw people out of the parking lots up there. Maybe because this is during the day they maybe a little cooler about it.

 

Carrielynn, you refer to a typical night at the tnpk, what's a typical night at the tnpk? Lot's of street racing or what?

 

A typical night at the turnpike consists of a bunch of punks trying to race each other, or people sitting in the roy rogers parking lot blasting their music then getting kicked out by the cops. Back in the day there was that many cops out there but now theres tons of them looking for this kind of stuff.

 

Yeah like i said also all the cops on the turnpike are asses because of all the kids that street race at night.. So im guessing when they see us rolling in they will get nervous and tell us to leave or something i can guarantee it

 

If we go to the turnpike I'm pretty sure half of us will come out of there with tickets for our tints.

 

ok ok guys I get it, no tpke. You guys are making me really nervous about ever going back there...I've never had a problem but maybe that's because I am a girl I just thought it may be a good idea because there is a lot of stuff to do there, you can only talk cars for so long.
Anyway, I am leaving now to go check out some parks so we can pick a place this week
