ATLP UA5 Dual Sport Exhaust

ATLP Cat-Back Exhaust for the 1999-2003 TL/TL-S. (UA5)

The ATLP UA5 Dual Exhaust manufactured through Stromung Exhaust Engineering provides an optimized power increase throughout the entire range, yet produces an authoritative note that is not intruding at cruising, and an aggressive tone at full throttle. The free-flow design allows a smooth and linear performance increase.
Completely mandrel bent Stainless Steel 439 tubing. Extremely durable and guaranteed not to rust or break apart.

Two Stainless Steel 304 Mufflers and Dual Sexy 3.5 Inch 2 Piece Tips were incorporated to compose a conservative over-all feel. But don’t let the size fool you. The ATLP exhaust emits a distinct throaty, European tone that makes little girls cry, and some boys, too.

Exhaust bolts on to the cat and runs at 2.5 inches, and splits off into a 2.25" diameter that directly feeds into the mufflers. We were able to increase flow, while keeping throttle response peppy and lag-free.
Visuals:

-Dual 3.5” polished 2-Piece tips shows the attention to detail.
-A matte finished face and hi-polished canister gives the entire exhaust a distinct look.
-TIG welded seams.

I didn't think I would see double digit hp/tq gains on a catback exhaust on a 2nd gen TL/CL unless it was blown. Good job.

The car that we used for all the test was a TL-P, not a TL-s.

Gains will be pretty similar, especially looking at the dyno results of TL-S parts in the past vs. the Base TL parts. Besides, any additional dyno's will drive the price up, something no body wants at this moment.

"Exhaust bolts on to the cat and runs at 2.5 inches, and splits off into a 2.25" diameter that directly feeds into the mufflers"

I always thought it was suppose to be the other way around? Smaller to larger diameter, or one size the entire way? Exhaust sounds great, looks of high quality and the gains are impressive considering the way it's sized. A TL-S dyno should really be done as well since the TL-S exhaust is more free flow so the gains may be minimal. Great system for the TL-P though with 11tq. Nice work.

At the moment, we only have one prototype model available and it's currently installed on the prototypers car.

Sorry, it's supposed to be 2.5" diameter that splits off into *two* 2.25" diameter pipes that feed into the mufflers.

Exhaust

wow I love the sound I'm new to the forum and I just bought a 03 TL-S. But I have a question that is gonna make me sound like a noob but is that sound all from the exhaust or do you have some mod in the engine?

how long will these be in production? I've got a ton of things to get figured out(i.e. possible tranny replacement, moving to new apartment). And also if I drop the 200? How long would it be until i had to drop the remaining $$$?

No, the engine was basically stock, besides for headers. You will get most if not the same sounding exhaust system on your TL if it's stock.

Whenever the last 4-5 deposits are made, that will be the last for now. The remainder will be due about 1 month from now.

ughhhh, the wait is killinggggg meee hurry up with these LOL!!!
This batch will be started right after we are finishing up the quad exhausts for the 3G TL.
