I might need to work more OT lol
Solution: replace dirt with concrete.

Have fun!

lol whachu talking bout Willis??? Concrete is even more expensive lmao. Pavers/bricks are like anywhere $1-$3 per piece.. and pouring concrete is even more expensive than that.

I gotta build a deck sometime, maybe next year. Im guessing that's gunna be like $8-10K :/ (at least for a nice synthetic/trex)

You might be in for another shock. That plastic lumber is expensive AF!

I looked into it once and then stopped looking... I'm too cheap to have nice things.

You've considered just letting the land reclaim itself? That's cheap. Also, you can do other things whilst that process occurs. Have a sandwich, perhaps. Or take a stroll (remember to bring your sandwich!!).

And if you're lucky, once the grass/weeds get high enough, the transients will move in and set up a little hobo encampment.

Then you have freerange meat for dinner!

I know it's expensive, that's why I said $8-10K. I think just a pressure treated wood should be around $3K to build yourself... so around triple for plastic should be about right.

Unfortunately I have a neighbor who neglects his yard, and they have a dandelion forest. Their shitty lawn encroaches on my territory and all the seeds end up floating to my yard.. It's constant war. Im thinkin in about 2 years Ill have perfect grass. I may even start mowing it diagonally like those fancy people.

Yeah I felt a difference with the PCD. That plus the FP are probably your best bang for your buck bolt-on "engine" mods in terms of tangible performance increase. Of course the downside with any kind of catless headers is inherent rasp, but there are solutions to this.

👀
What's the solution? That rasp is pretty annoying/sounds ricey.

But that's just because I hate students and don't want to subsidize their education. Same reason I don't buy lotto tickets.

Fun fact: That car shipped from the factory with cloudy headlights. It was a "branding" exercise by GM so that all of their cars would look the same in 3 years.

And since the Chevy Malibu/Classic is basically a badge engineered CTS-V, that's how it got the nickname "the Cataract".

I converted the mini to single carb, the duals were giving too much hassle. It runs pretty much perfect now, but it's a little rough on the first few minutes after cold-start. I think that's normal though.
Did a full paint correction, interior is cleaned up. I got this cool "retrosound" radio which looks like a classic radio yet has modern features and an aux input. I also hid all the speakers so it looks nicer.
I also swapped the bumpers for the older(?) style without the brush bar things on the side, i think that looks way better now. We tried to paint the British flag on the roof with plastidip, but that was a total fail. After we pulled the masking it just ruined the edges. I think we'll try again with wrap.
I still need to fix a bad exhaust leak, mount the 4 front lights in front of the grille, "rally style," and a few other cosmetic things. I think i want to change the fender flares too, since the wheels stick out really far past the body. I also really wish i had the manual windows but that will be a huge pain to convert back.

S2k needs a lottt of work. I need to make a full list. It's all cosmetic stuff. I started off today by just polishing out the headlights.

Mini looks good.

S2k looks good.

Some day, you should take the motor out of the S2k and put it in the mini. That will simplify the carb tuning significantly.

lol. There is a kit for swapping a Honda motor into the mini. There are some videos on it on youtube. the amount of cutting required is scary. At that point, is it really a mini?
