Noobie-Opening interior fuse panel!

99 Acura TL

I searched the forum and couldn't find this, so pardon if it's been discussed before!

(A link to an existing thread would be fine!)

I believe when plugging in a cell phone charger the other day, the charger plug broke and shorted out the 12 Volt receptacle, which, in turn, seems to have also diabled the headunit (radio, CD, etc.)

I know there is an interior fuse panel, which I believe that I have located so now (stupid question to follow)...how to I open the interior fuse panel?

It's surrounded by cabling and I don't want to damage anything by forcing something that shouldn't be forced!

Thanks in advance!

Buzz

Thanks, Blazin, but the owner's manual has been missing for years...(and I'm a big believer in RTFM!)

I'll look again...maybe I'm just not seeing the darn thing yet!

OK, I found the dash fuse panel, but none of the fuses mapped out on the panel itself refer to the radio-CD, or 12 V accessory.

Would the fuse have an "unusual" name...most are self explanatory.

Thanks again!

ok, i don't have the manual in front of me, but there is a fuse panel on the driver side and passenger side dash, just slowly pull from the bottom and the panel will pop out, on the panel it tells you what each fuse is. in the engine bay, firewall passenger side is another fuse box, the top of the lid has an explaination also of all fuses. if you need a new one you can go to walmart and get that rating and also a mix of diff ratings. about $3 for about 10 fuses.

Thank you!

Didn't know about the passenger side fuse panel.

It does have a fuse marked Radio/Cig Lighter.

Thanks again!
