Leather Repair Kits
If you have little cuts and scrapes on your leather seats, do you think those leather repair kits we've seen on tv work to resolve this problem? just wondering because i have some dat i caused recently and its hurts () wanna fix up the baby abit and i wanna know if any of you actually tried the product?

Try Magicmender.com. It comes in the color of the seats (factory color) after you apply the repair compound- it worked pretty well for me. A new seat cover is $200-300 from Acura (depending on top or bottom).

I wouldnt use any of those TV repair kits on my seats. If it were bad enough id buy the new cover and install the new cover

I had a few small cracks in the vinyl piping and didn't want to justify a lot of $$$ for a new cover. The stuff seemed to work pretty well. There is a coloring agent for any repairs in 'mild beige' (Honda/ Acura color)

I failed to mention that you don't have to mix colors to get the desired effect. The coloring agent is premixed and matches (in my case) the parchment color exactly. You apply the compound, fill it in until smooth, then color it, then use the grain spray if desired. I agree, it probably wouldn't work well for a large tear in the leather, but for a smaller split, it worked pretty well. I agree the best way to get rid of leather tear is a new seat cover and OEMAcuraparts.com sells them (I think ~$300 for the upper cover -backrest and $200 for the seat cover). The cheaper kits available in stores probably won't give a satisfactory repair (like the old vinyl kits advertised on TV years ago). Also, a car upholstery shop should be able to do a better repair (depending on your interior), but it will obviously cost more.

use leather repair kit. it works. they give you a set of solid color, like black, white, red, blue, etc. and you will have to mix and create your own color like parchment. I just used the clear adhesive, and didn't need to mix color with it. clear, to me, is better than mismatch color. walmart should have the kit. this thing works, and it is cheap.
