Just got this tinted lastnight so the tint hasn't dried yet, it's a 2000 TL. Has anyone else had this problem with the back window and how long does it typically take to dry out? It's fine around some of the edges and horrid around the others.

If it's a problem, what's my options?
If it'll dry out, sorry for bitchin.

if you're speaking about the ait trapped around the heating element bubble thing then you'll probably have to live with it its VERY difficult to do it and i have yet to see a pefect car...most of that will go away with drying though but dont expect all of it to go...

i got a life time guarantee, if the line is inconsistent (meaning it's fine some places and horrible in others) would they have to do something about it? A quality job would have the line all the way around or no line right?

Sad to say its not gonna get much better. I've heard from a friend that tints that its hard as hell and you will use many sheets of tint to get the bubbles from around the windshield out. Your prob just gonna hafta live with it....

IMO that is not a quality tint job. A tint place should have the ability to to the job right w/o any bubbles not matter what.

i had that exact same problem. run ur finger around the edges and press hard. the thing that sucks is that u wont be able to get to where the brake light is unless ur remove it.

it was a professional tint shop. does anybody here have pictures of their rear window? I'm not happy with it.

I used to tinted window any I can say They should use the heat gun alot longer to get rip of them bubble.
Yes some tiny bubble are OK but It look like your car after it's been in rain storm. The only Area you should have trouble with air bubble is the top half B/c we all them tiny black that inprint in back window.

Did they make outline of the back window before they put on the from inside?
Alot tinter shape an mold an heat gun every piece before final putting in the car. Got to remember tint is on opposite side of what you working on.

Did they give you Warranty on your TINT?
IF so go back after 2 week an get them to do another one for you.

My tints were done for only $120, and they look a hell of alot better than that... go get that shit redone. Now. They owe you a good job. I've never seen so many bubbles in my life.

u just got it done yesterday let it sit for a day or two and then make an assessment. i thought mine was f-ed up too, i let it sit in the sun for a day and it came out perfect.

I paid $250.00 for my tint job, and it looks flawlesssss, except for the rear window due to the heater, but it's really minor. How much did you pay??

i think there are a few letters missing " i've seen pictures..."

I honestly only see pictures of windows with water one them like it just rained or someone washed their car

It's nearly impossible to get tint to stick to the dot matrix on any car's windows. Those aren't bubbles, its because the tint can't adhere to the material of the those little dots.

I have had the problem with every car that I have owned that had the dots around the windows. After a while, they fade away and become unnoticeable.

hey man take your car back and tell them to do that over cause i never seen a car with that much bubbles. Thats a piss poor job and wherever you got that done should get closed down.

Na man those are just air bubbles and water bubbbles
If it is a good tint job they should go away within a couple of days
5 the most so u got nothin to be worried about
Just let it dry out and see wats happens....

Mine do not have those air pockets. The guy who tints my windows will use a heat gun or hair dryer along with different plastic tools to work all the air pockets out. One of the above posters is correct the heat of the sun helps but you will need to work those out with the proper tools and heat.

the tl and my last car looked the same way right after they did the job...four days later everything dried out, and left me with a smooth very professional finish.

He shouldn't have to work anythinh out himself. I did have to wait 6 days for all lil specs to go away, so give it some time. If in 6 days they still there, then go back.(but call the place just so they know you are concern and will give tint some time to cure.)

I also have just had a tint job done on my 2004 Accord EX V6 Sedan. When they put on the film, I noticed some "bubbles" on the windows. The guy told me there are water and asked me to park my car under the sun for a day or two and the "bubbles" will dry out. I parked my car outside my house on the first day and still noticed some the bubbles but much less, but on the second (under the hot weather), all the bubbles were gone. He was right.

From the pictures, I am not 100% sure if they are air bubbles or water bubbles. If they are water bubbles, they are going to dry out.

Just my experience.

LOL yea I really thought that was rain on the outside of the window. It may dry out tho. Give it a few days to dry before going back.

those are rain drops on the out side of the window, i'm talking about the edges where the dots are. there are heavy inconsistancys where the tint is flush and where it isn't flush.

what he was trying to show was the white color where the defrost elements are... mine's this way too.. i dont think there's much to be done to fix that...

^^^^ what he said. that is rain all over the window. the OP is talking about the small bubbles under the tint around the defrost lines.

I dont understand how some of you can think there are bubbles on the trunk.
When I said shitty job, I ment the white air on the edges of the windows... not the "bubbles" on the trunk.

The tints doesnt look too bad. Let the sun bake on it for a 2-3 days and the small air pockets should come out. As for the seam, the tint shop shoud of used a one piece tint instead of 2. When I used to tint cars a few years ago, I had always use one piece film for the back window, unless it was something real curvy like a vette or a camaro.

It's not a bad tint job. Mine LOOKED the same way before it DRIED COMPLETELY. Give it a few days, it'll be fine.

i agree that you should do some new pics without the rain. I see what your talking about but the rain drops really distract you. The tint job that i got on my car was very well done and i was satisfied. I didn't inspect it really closely, but i never found any flaws. I think you should also expect the same quality.

I got the lifetime warrenty also and part of that warrenty was that if it got scratched for ANY reason, they would replace the tint. If you have that kind of warrenty, you could just scratch the tint (horizontally so you dont break the defrosting elements) and just have them replace it like that.

you guys are crazy. how can you not tell those are rain drops on the outside? look at each picture carefully. they all have some sort of focus. he is showing the pics of the matrix on the top and outer edge of the window.

give the tint a few days to dry completely. since it's obviously raiing there, the sun isnt out. once the sun dries up the window, the matrix issues will look a little better, and any minor water bubbles in the tint will dry. when it does dry, you may see white patches whereever there is matrix.
