try finding the problem and go from there or try to reset your ecu by pulling the clock fuse out for 30 seconds and then put it back in. Start the car and see if it still lights up

I would not try to hide ABS or VSA codes as both can save your life... Get it fixed like you would fix a SRS light code and not hide it.

Sorry i didnt mean it like that! Only said it like that cause i had installed an aftermarket steering wheel with no airbag thus causing my srs light to come on and i just reset it so the passenger and other bags can deploy if anything happened.

Yeah, the "SRS" is easily tripped and can be reset by the paperclip jumper as described in the "DIY" sticky.
The "ABS"/ "VSA" is usually a problem that needs attention and requires special diagnostic equipment.
Sometimes it can be as simple as a bad wheel sensor. But, try to find the cause and go from there.

So pulling the fuse will reset the ecu and clear the abs codes? I want to reset it and if problem occurs again then I know there's something wrong. I just installed coilovers and maybe one of my sensors got damaged in the process. I checked and don't see any tears or rips in the wires so that's y I want to clear the lights and go from there

Did you put reinstall everything correctly. Double check your work again. I had an issue with the vsa not to long ago the bolts from the calipers were loose, retightened and the light went away. For example. You might have knocked a sensor loose. Or?

I didn't touch any bolts on the caliper. Only thing I touched were the ones for the coilovers.

Did you remove the ABS sensor wire from the upper control arm when installing the coilovers ? The wire can be easily damaged

It was not in the way. Just check wires again and they seem secure and tight in place. No rips or anything. Quick question though. Say there is a bad wire and I change it does the light go away or does it still stay on

It will stay on until you drive the car up to 30mph.
That's how mine went away, that was when I didn't have a scanner or anything.

ABS and VSA codes will be gone when you fix the problem they dont need to be reset in any way like you would with a OBDII code. Fix the issue and be happy! If ABS and VSA lights are up you are stuck with no ABS (Wheels can Lock) and no VSA (You can hydroplane easily).

You can only reset the CEL, not the ABS .....by pulling the clock back-up fuse.
May want to have a shop check the ABS system with a special scanner if nothing is obviously bad with a wheel sensor.

Codes will be stored even if you pull the battery, its saved in the memory of the ABS,TCS/VSA controller. Depending on the previous problem it had it wont turn the light off until its fixed.
For exp. Mine had the ABS Fuse missing IDK why, I placed a new fuse and the ABS light was still on then as soon as all sensors started to register MPH it went away on its own but there will be a code stored, just like if you had a CEL and fixed the problem the light goes away but the code will stay in the ecu if you never reset it or pulled the battery.

Recently I purchased a better scanner and found about 10 codes even one about Low battery voltage.

To cap it off the ABS codes are permanent unless erased by a scanner capable of reading and erasing codes on Honda/Acura products, even if you pull the battery.

Meaning you have to bring it in to a shop to clear the code and double check your system, unless it goes away on it`s own.

Yup, if the light goes away all will function the same even if it has stored codes or not.
You don't need to clear them but they are there.

Yeah I see. I don't want to avoid the problem but been shopping around and people prices are insane like 110 dollars just to scan and see which sensors are bad. I don't get why people always are trying to get over on stuff like this. Wish I had my own scanner. I would've bought the sensors already and changed them out if I knew which one it was. Smh.

Go to a suspension shop they could have a Generic Honda ABS Scanner which does the job without the stupid price tag.. I went to a local here in SD when one of my ABS Sensors went caput? He charged me 10 bucks for the scan.

Ask for Current codes not History codes when you get it scanned.

Went to Acura because I had a friend that works there. He scanned it for free and told me it was my rear driver sensor that failed due to a short. I guess I must've tugged in it while installing the coilovers. Problem solved soon I ordered the sensor today! Thanks for all your help everyone

Yup I got the sensor and changed it today. What a b**** to change. Smh. But no more lights. Just the way I like it!
