Gentlemen,

I recently did my timing belt on my 99 TL. It was a learning experience. The hardest part was getting the crankshaft pulley off. I ordered the 50MM tool from Amazon.com for less than 30 I think. It took 2 breaker bars and a floor jack to support the breaker bar that was turning the 19MM crankshaft bolt. I sprayed penetrating oil on it 24 hours before I attempted to break it loose. If you can get this bolt off, your 80% there.

The link below is to the instructions that came in the Gates component kit. It had the idler pulley, new tensioner and the timing belt. I know they have kits that come with the water pump but I did not get that one, I should of. Well here are the instructions that came with the kit. If you have any questions about the job please hit me up. Like I said, if you can break the crankshaft bolt loose your 80% there.

Put a 4ft pipe on the breaker bar, some old pillows or padding on the ground in front of you.....and put your whole weight on the damn thing. If you fall to the floor when the bolt breaks loose at least you won't break your knees.
