The shift lock solenoid on my 2000 TL stopped energizing along with all brake lights failing to come on. I immediately turned to the brake switch, but after 5 or 6 hours of troubleshooting, I've come up empty handed. Before I give up, wanted to see if you guys had any other ideas. I've checked the following:

- Replaced all 6 brake bulbs
- Brake lamps are getting power (turn on when head lamps are turned on)
- Tested both pairs of terminals on the brake switch for appropriate continuity
- Checked that the ABS module is receiving a proper brake signal when depressed
- Checked master cylinder float switch
- Inspected a few pins on the brake failure sensor circuit, but the service manual doesn't have a ton of detail on diagnosing this circuit if the brake lights DONT turn on (which is odd, I think)

There are no warning lights or any other indication of failure, besides the shift lock solenoid not energizing and the brake lights not turning on. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

After discovering this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-problems-fixes-117/brake-lights-not-working-825101/ it turns out to have the same issue. The plastic has actually melted at connector O in the diver side fuse box. Will be writing a letter to NHTSA.
