Annoying Panic Button on FOB going off way too often

Hello,

My Acura 99 TL has a big issue where I turn my car on as slowly/carefully as possible while keeping an eye on the panic button on my remote lock/unlock FOB but no matter how carefully I turn on the car and make sure panic is not touched, the alarm still goes off. It is annoying having to wait 15 seconds for it to shut off while repeatedly hitting the lock button. Is there a way to deprogram the panic button? I would like to use the FOB especially for the trunk open function, but I feel resigned to the fact I can't carry the fob on me.

Are you sure it's the panic button that's being pressed?

What else do you think could be causing the issue?
