2001 Acura TL hid headlight failure
Hi guys I have a 2001 acura tl and I have a serious issue with the headlights. Both of them flicker on and off repeatedly and its usually one or the other. On my way to work at 5:30 am both of them turned off which was a bit scary on the interstate. I have the factory hid lamps and I was told I need to replace both driver and passenger side assemblies. Is this true or is there a less expensive fix? Thanks in advance

Don't get another OEM kit. They're poorly insulated and it will fail again.

IMO: I have no problem with replacing either the ballast, or igniter, with OEM Used parts. If you have access to a pick-n-pull, you can buy a used ballast for around $15.00. I have replaced several for friends, with no complaints.
