2006 RL - Factory Body Kit

I heard these are kind of rare. Any idea how much does it add to the value of the car?

Not much. Your buyer would have to know exactly what they are looking for (and not many people do). The whole kit is around $1,500 brand new if it can be found. So I might pay $1,000 over someone else with an exact same car in the same condition with the kit...

They were a factory option, but are discontinued now. Options like that add little to no value.

Definitely rare. When I went searching for my RL that's what I wanted but I knew I would have to travel. I ended up driving 400 miles each way to pick up a low mileage stock RL A-SPEC. I think that's one of the rarest breeds of RLs right now.

I don't think it adds much value to the car; however overall packages like tech, CMBS, and A-SPEC will.

Options really don't add much to the car unless you have the full A-Spec package. The kit itself won't add much.

I'm the kind of person who would only want to buy a car that's OEM and not modded. Hence, don't buy it to increase "value" of your car when you sell it. Just buy it because you like it yourself and understand you won't see any of that money back when/if you sell.

Being a factory option, a lot of these kits were installed by dealers and the car was not "modded" in the traditional sense.

if you wanted to sell it as a-spec, you need wheels, sideskirts & suspension + a-spec badge.
It'd probably be better for you to sell them individually as there is still demand for those parts from few.
Typical buyer won't give a damn about factory option.

I would always randomly search for RL's, especially Aspec's before I bought mine & nothing would ever pop up. Then one day I was browsing again just for shits and giggles when I was car shopping & only 1 Aspec popped up which I now own.

Aspec RL's are most definitely a rare bread, since i've had mine there has only been a black one that I crossed paths with.

I've owned mines for 3 1/2 years now and saw just one as well. To my surprise it was a older lady in her late 60s driving it...

+1 Especially here up North. I've seen 1 true spec for sale in the last 5 years.
