06 acura rl No heat !!!!!!!!!

hello guys i"m new to the forums i tried searching for the answer to my issue before creating a thread. so i purchased my rl about 2 weeks ago haven't had much luck first didn't find out the ac wasn't working until i took the 2 hour drive to get the car. saw that the condenser fan was no good. ordered that and waiting got it to come to install. but today in new jersey it was a tad chilly this morning and i turned on my heat to see i wasn't getting any hot air. took it by a friends shop so he can look at it he says the valve is opening up and the hose gets hot. does anyone know what it can possibly be my friend said the system can be clogged and it needs to be flushed.

Welcome!

I recommend you start by doing full coolant flush, make sure no air is in the system. If that doesn't work then it'll require something to be replaced like a heater core.

This pretty much sums up how I'd approach this I've seen some videos by people like ChrisFix who have succesfully unclogged a clogged heater core if that ends up being the problem. I can't speak the success rate in general of procedures like that, and how safe it is in the long run...
