Supercharger project

Hey guys!

Finally making some progress on the comptech build. I now have a cls6; most comptech accessories and comptech kit....well most of it. I know I'm missing esm, acm, fuel pump, and a bracket for alternator, as well as a support to the trans. I want to emission test this so I want to run the kit as intended first.

I want to know what you guys have done for the brackets and supports. Or if anyone has them? Also the electrical boxes; it would be awesome if someone had the acm. I have a pic of all the supercharger stuff I have....if anyone can see what I'm missing and or has what I'm missing let me know! Any tips for supercharging let me know!

Take the attached check list for 6-speed CT S/C'er kit go to the link provided below and read the last 'bullet point'. If you want to piece together the remaining pieces you need, CT would be the best place to start.

There's no icebox, but you can just make your own. You need a silicone coupling from the elbow to the S/C. Fuel lines, belt, spark plugs, there's a black block off for the throttle body. The ECM you might be able to use from newer comptech superchargers (3rd Gen TL).

Couple updates!
I have bought AEM fic6 and pre ordered pr2 new big tube headers. Still looking for brackets. Haven't heard from ct engineering yet. Looking for help from users to find parts! Acurazine has been the biggest help!

Can you tell us the details on how you ordered them and how much they are?

If you go to j series engine nation on Facebook, you will find a post by Sean Yearwood will all of the info! They are currently on sale for preorder. The price goes up in increments before release date. 450 is finally price when released I believe. And us cls6 owners will need to run stock auto bracket and rear mount. But Sean has included a bracket and rear innovative mount for an addition fee. Check it out; guarantee it will make more power than the other headers on the market.

Thanks for your response, but I don't have 'no stinkin' Facebook' for privacy reasons.
$450 sounds like a pretty good price though,

Cool info on the headers. $450 for a set of quality headers is a good price, just wish they had an option with the bend.

For your SC bracket help, we could work something out. It seems like there are several people with CT superchargers, but need brackets. I have all the pieces, but we would have to find a machine shop to duplicate them. I think we could make a few sets of tranny brackets, alternator brackets, and the PS reservoir bracket. The main bracket would probably be too difficult.

I'm down to help/get some sort of bracket to complete my set, as I need the PS reservoir bracket. I know a few machine shops but it would cost some $ to get them made.

I also asked CT-E if they have the old CAD files or something for the parts, as that would make it even easier to replicate at a machine shop. But I am having a ton of issues contacting CT-E and I somehow doubt they would supply or even still have old part files.

I wonder what CT-E's problem is. bkrupp, you and the OP are like the second or third persons, along with Saving4aTL, that have tried to piece together various S/C'er kits and have basically said the same thing.

"I have not heard back from CT-E"

I mean, you would at least think they would have the couth to respond.

@ CT-E handing over CAD files, good luck with that.

I've been wanting to pick up a 3D scanner for some time to reverse engineer discontinued parts/develop new parts. This gives me another reason to get that ball moving...

Count me in for a SC alternator bracket! I also need the pulley for the alternator as well as a fuel pump, radiator hose, mini battery and the esm.. Why are most of the supercharger kits incomplete??

Headers are a steal right now. I paid 369 (plus mount) and I believe they are 389 now. I highly advise people to jump on this one.
Bro you would be my hero for doing that for us. I am down 100% to buy a set of brackets!

those do look beefy! any idea what the pipe diameter is? I wish they curved the pipe a little more at the merge so it wasn't hitting at such a 90*.

I mean I guess I could call them. But yes I have emailed them every week, and only heard back 2 times. I have given them all the original part numbers, and even said whatever parts they did have I want to buy right away. And nothing for about 3 weeks.

It was 2 months to get a CARB sticker for the headers.

I guess I could take a day off work and drive the 2 hours up to their shop address, but even that I can't guarantee they will be there. Maybe Nate up there has a real job and CT-E is just some side thing to keep running, since they really don't have anything new out.

3D scanner is cool. But if someone has the part it is really easy to duplicate in CAD software and just machine it from there. It's also a lot less expensive than a 3D scanner.

If I had the part I was missing or at least a few pictures with a tape measure I would make a rough model. Hell I took the plastic elbow with pictures I was provided and modeled it up hoping it would fit in the 3D printer, but it was too big.

And hey, if CT-E can't produce the replacement parts, why not send some dimensioned drawings, that would be nice and helpful.

True, but I've browsed search results for hours and hours, putting together ideas for my NA build. Also it appears these headers are pretty much new this winter, but kinda surprised this is the first anyone here has posted them that I'm aware of.

True. Seems like the 3rd gen TL is the foxbody of the V6 Honda world these days, see modded ones all over. And the aftermarket has all but forgotten the CLS It wasn't my first choice for a toy, but I like to cast a wide net and the CL was too good of a deal to pass up.
