How hard would it be to do this to the 3rd brake light?

I love the 3rd brake light on this CL-s, and i love the color...pimp daddy gold..
I wanna do this to my 3rd brake light I think it looks sweet , some might not like it.. I think if i do this there is also less of a chance of getting Rear-ended!
does someone know what lights i have to buy to do thies and where online can I buy thos lights?
If the person that hooked this one up can do a little DIY that would be great ..

Does anyone else have there 3rd brake light set up like this and have pics?

Looks like he put some work into it. He has a DIY page on his cardomain spot.

just look at the pictures. any sound system custom shop should be able to do this for you. i HIGHLY doubt this will be attempted by most on here.

looks as though he made a mold of the back deck piece or stripped and covered it in fiberglass and kitty hair. the fiberglass part would then have to the fitted in place and trimmed up.

note how the LED strip is molded into the fiberglass deck. as he mentioned he made a rear MDF lip to conceal the LED strip. if you zoom in you can see the raised lip that hides it.

body filled and sanded

covered. once sanded smooth you use contact cement (like for laminate) to stretch and hold the fabric down.

Yeah but he redid his whole back deck to do the speakers also, can't someone just take out the 3rd brake light and hook up a LED strip.
He did all that to hold the spekers not for the LED 3rd brake light!

ya for the speakers but it isn't like the brake light was thrown in as an afterthought. it was all planned and executed very well.

you could remove the third brake light and piece in some carpet to cover the spot. then throw an LED strip back there. chances are it will not look as clean.

I had my read deck custom fiberglassed for Alpine Type-R 6-1/2" Component 2-Way Speakers and a Five Function LED Tailgate Light (Red running lights, brake lights, left & right turn signals and white back up lights). Here some pictures of it (sorry for the bad pictures; they were taken at night during the winter - I will have new & better pictures of my car once I get done with my modifications I am installing right now):
