Wiper fluid pump problem
Wiper fluid pump problem
My wipers no longer spray fluid out. I pulled out the pump from the fluid tank, checked the connections, cleaned it up, but no go.
I also disconnected the tube on top of the engine (where it goes on to feed inside the hood) to see if anything was at least pumped that far through the tube but nothing came out. I didnt try cleaning the spray nozzels with a pin or wire because the water doesnt even seem to be making it that far.
This leads me to believe that the pump burned out or something. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggested solutions?
Its a pain in the ass to have to squeegie at gas stations...

If you've checked all the lines, and its not even getting to the nozzles than my guess would be the pump. Sry I can't help ya more. Stop by the auto parts store and see what they want for a new one. Or swing by the junkyard and snatch one to swap it out.
if you pull on the stalk to spray the fluid, there should be a slight buzzzz of the pump working.
try to make that sound with the key in the on position, without the engine running so you can definately try to hear it.
