I would believe it if you changed your final gear.
I can make the car spin tires till the gauge says 55 mph but,at 55 mph then dumping it to spin won't happen.
At 30 mph I could spin the tires with a 100 shot.
You would have to drop it to 1st to get the gearing that would be capable for your cars power but, you would over rev and possibly cause serious damage beating your car.

If you had 350-400 hp ,light flywheel, sick clutch set up,short shifter, changed your final gear etc. I might think about believing you

Good luck with the supra though. You should be able to spin the tires in that all you want on the street if you plan on modding it for your local 1/8 track.

i got a shitty mazda 3 rental right now cause acura is fixing some dents on the quarter panel.

this car must have 1 3rd the power. 0-60 is like 12 secs it's HIDEOUS

lemme tell you something, the CL is a really good car in comparison to MANY. hell this rental is brand new and still doesn't have electronic climate control (i thought that crap was standard now, heck most have dual climate control). and it's like 11 years newer.

i think u under appreciate the cl

no matter what car u get u get used to it and u want MORE. that's human nature. unfortunately there is only so much modding u can do, and once ur done u either accept it or have to buy another car and do it all over again. i'm done with all my modding (FINALLY) and now sit back and enjoy other things life has to offer that cost $$ too.

u should get the previous generation M3 with the 3.2L 333Hp motor and work from there. THAT is a sexy ride and has potential as all BMWs do

i've taken that car to 270km/h (gov. removed) and she was good to go to almost 300. damn i want that car

Headers are coming off tomorrow. Still debating whether it's worth it to remove my icebox, or just leave it on the car when it goes up for sale

Azine is so fun!!

without this azine would be dead IMO..the little trolling, games, jokes, arguing,

but all in all we are all here for one thing.. To help members out. I think Civic is a very knowledgeable person and I'm sure black sees that..

On the topic of getting rid of the CL because of traction issues to get a Supra (which I love) but WHICH HAS TRACTION ISSUES is ironic!

The Supra has less traction issues than the CL given the same situation. I plan on keeping it as bpu and not upgrading the stock turbos, so it's not going to have over 375whp.

True but the supra is among the worst rear drive sports platforms known. (Getting the power to the road wise)

Again I love them, I'm just saying.

I understand. It's also going to be a 97' or 98', which only come as a targa, so it won't be the best handling of the Supra's either. Regardless, those years pull a .97g with stock ride height, so I don't have much room to complain. The fasted supra I have heard of in 6-Speed manual form ran a high 7 in the quarter mile, so I'm sure there are various ways to improve traction. Next summer is just around the corner, and by that time I will have good enough credit to get the loan I need. I will be able to put 28,000 down without it.

There is a black one around me the runs the 1/8 and just by the looks of it it's a handful.
I just don't like the ruckus it makes getting there.

A rwd supra with 320hp would spin more than a fwd CL with 320hp? I'm curious to hear how it does.

Horsepower can mean situation as far as modifications go.

Which car do you guys think looks better? The Supra or the CL? I'm debating it because the CL has that long coupe look to it and the Supra has those odd tail lights and large rear wing. What are your thoughts?

A Supra & a CL attempting to keep traction while going WOT from a dead stop is a situation.

Both cars happening to have the same horsepower is just adding to your original claim.

I'm selling it. It's in the shop right now getting the headers taken off, then I'm going to smog it and remove the icebox, then it's hitting the market. I'll update this thread with the partout progress pretty soon. Already sold my wheels and tires for $850

Really guys?

LOL

I'm artbran on all forums i sign up to.
For those who say that they want to keep a Supra at BPU are lying, they just don't know it yet. Trust me. Adding a manual boost controller, front mount, cat back and a boost cut controller gives you a reliable 500hp wheel.

My black Supra is pushing 400ish right now and I'm running out of injector (smaller 440cc JDM injectors compared to USDM 550cc). It does however keep up with my father's 2006 SL55. My green show car widebody Supra which is heavy as hell and breaks up up top starts pulling away from the 55 and that's only pushing 492 wheel (bad wastegate).

BTW, the black one has all parts read to go single. Just missing my Haltech or ViPec. Cant decide on which EMS to go with.

But, if you're taking a loan out in the car, make sure you find a good company that will let you borrow for a car this old. Not many will.

If you have any questions concerning anything, let me know. PM me on SF tho as I don't come on there too often. This might change soon however as I'm looking for a winter car and the CLS6 or the 04+ TL 6 speed sounds very tempting.
