Thumbs up Attention Seafoam Fans

FYI . . . for all you Autozone shoppers, Seafoam is on sale for $7.99 (Aug 10, 2011)

That's a $2.00 per can savings.

There's a chance that they no longer sell it. That would explain the really low price. It was definitely for sale at $5 at some point, but idk about it any more.

Walmart still sells it for 7 bucks regularly though.

$7 is the norm around here even at gas stations. I've never seen it for $9. Seems nuts.

Chances are you had a junk IMRC to start with and cleaning out the gunk caused it to finally fail. Likely crap in the failed seals that caused it to totally fail once it cleaned them out. That's not Seafoam's fault.

Some people get oil leaks after putting it in their oil because dirt and crud has clogged the cracks in their bad seals. When Seafoam does it's job and cleans things out then they start to leak.

It's been around for over 80 years and been used by millions. It wouldn't still be on the market or so widely used if it caused damage to properly working parts and engines.

I usually grab a few cans at walmart... unless the auto store is having a special.

Sorry to hear that StreetKA :/ That sucks...

I rarely use additives, seafoam, techron (occasionally), and oh ya one time slick 50 high mileage auto transmission fluid saved my a$$...

I know from experience on my old bike that one of the problems with seafoam is it can bring to life something like a weak oil pan gasket seal and seem as though it "caused" it.
