2001 Cl Type S Seat wiring Diagram
Hey guys I am a returning member. Haven't been on for a long time and had to re-register because I forgot my old sign in stuff.
Anyway, I searched the site and couldn't find what I am looking for.
I need a wiring diagram for the driver seat for a 2001 CL S.
I am also wondering, if I can't fix it, are there any interchangeable seats, like a different year CL or maybe a TL?
Or are the motors from other models usable in my car. I can't find any manuals anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.

Doing a Google search for this very same thing and came across your post. I have an '01 CLS too and the driver seat won't move forward or back (nor recline now, it seems). Bought a crappy seat from a guy on Craigslist today for $40, put it in and it won't move either. Then I remembered about a year ago I saw that I had a blown fuse. Put a new one in and it blew immediately. So I have a short somewhere and no idea what to do other than call an electrical pro to try and find it. Last thing I want to do is pay a couple hundred bucks to someone to fix a car that's worth about $2k on a good day.
What problem are you having?

The forward and back motor doesn’t work. The switch makes a clicking sound like a relay is closing. Also, the front up/down motor doesn’t work. Recline works and rear up/down work.

Just an update on my situation, in case it helps you. I replaced my fuse (it was blown) with the "new" seat in there and it works, but my seat doesn't. So I do have a bad motor which is causing the fuse to blow. It seems weird that I can still hear the motor try to engage even with a blown fuse. So I would definitely test that would if you've got some 20A fuses lying around.

I am looking for a shop manual. I found a lot for the TL, but can't find a CL manual for less than $200. Will a TL Shop Manual work for a CL? I've always thought that year CL was a two door TL, with some changes to make the S Type.
