they are right before the camera, so that you slow down for the camera to take your picture, but even then cameras are fast enough today to take your picture at highway speeds, so yeah i don't know why they would have them 
, other then to slow people down
so can you get your car for the weekend then to run it (still should be driveable too, if not that bad, just sounds like it is weeping right now, so just carry a bottle of atf with you and the right tools to put it in, so you can run it this weekend)
anyways at least it is an easier fix, and should only be a couple of hundard $$$, and not thousands

cause all directions/sides are when you are seated in the driver's seat looking foward
it is part #2 for the "left" side cover, and is more of a "access" cover then an actual structual part of the tranny

haha your a must b there if we doing a photoshoot at nine mile. You can use my tripod next time and experiment with your camera. Hopefully we can get a day without high winds like that one day haha.
