Even if he sold it, he probably still couldn't afford to install headers on the IS-F.

Interesting the OP lists TX & KS but the wreck was posted by the Monroe TWSP FD, near Mechanicsburg Pa.

The brick did pretty good getting the TL all the way to PA before it crashed...great gas mileage to.

The sound of that uncorked M5 doesn't hold a candle to the clean sound of an ISF with a catback. The rev-match downshifts are pure sex.

That does sound tight. Had a white one next to me at a light today. Exhaust looks so much cooler IRL. I kind of want one now.

Though a thread jack, seeing that wrecked TLS is horrifying to me.

Anyway, comparing the M5 to the IS-F is highly insulting to the Bimmer.

Wow that was 1 bad wreck. Google ftw?

M5 > ISF. I will admit the ISF sounds great, but I heard an M5 sing down the road the other day with hardly any throttle and my pants lifted. Had it been WOT, I'd be rocking a glory hole.

M cars especially the E46, E92 and M5 lack a clean sound, IMO. There's a lot of mechanical noise, rasp, reverberation, etc. They do sound great, but at tip-in and in the tail end of upper rpms, they just fall a part. You're smoking crack if you think a E46 at M3 at fail wail sounds good. Now that all the M cars are going turbo, you won't be hearing much of anything expect for the pre-recorded exhaust sounds BMW pipes over speakers BMW M-cars don't hold a candle in terms of sound compared to V8 AMG cars.

Sooo your saying they have engine noise over exhaust noise..personally I love that. The V10 sounds way better then the v8 in the c63. At just normal throttle they sound like absolute shit. I realize that I may be alone with that opinion but if you hear one from outside the car with like 1/4 throttle you'll hear what I'm talking about. But yea, it is just plain stupid that the new M5 plays exhaust noise through the speaker.

E46 M3 has a horrible exhaust note. It sounds like a raspy, crappy Honda. E36 M3 has an amazing exhaust note though.

E60 M5 sounds incredible.
