Broken motor mounts
Hey guys,
Its time for me to replace all 3 engine mounts on my car which is an 06 AT with 103k miles. I have found DIY instructions on how to do the Front and Side, but no instructions on the rear mount. Can link to the instructions fror the Rear mount and have the scanned instructions from the Acura dealer? Any extra tips on removing/installing the mounts that are not mentioned in these two DIYs?
Front: https://acurazine.com/forums/problem...-mount-854098/
Side: https://acurazine.com/forums/problem...cement-796676/
I have been looking for the parts online and it seems that the cost for OEM parts ranges from about $300-$340 for all 3 mounts. If someone can also point to a better deal that would be awesome.
I plan on replacing all 3 engine mounts at once in a day or over a weekend, how much more time would it take to replace the transmission mounts (Havent looked into that aspect much, but I think there are 2 tranny mounts)
Lastly, has anyone used the parts available from places like AutoZone or RockAuto? Are they reliable or comfortable compared to OEM? Autozone has a limited lifetime warranty on their duralast parts for $254.
Sorry for all the text and thanks in advance! Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the aftermarket ones you are buying aren't solid, and are hydraulic. Otherwise they will vibrate.

I ended up with OEM mounts for $320. The side mount was the easiest to work on, rear mount was a huge PITA. Also replaced the upper transmission mount since I was in the area. The bottom two transmission mounts I will do in a future time. Took about 4.5 hours of work.
The car runs a lot smoother now. Still have some small clunking noise, but nothing like before. Hopefully when I do the other two tranny mounts, clunk noise will go away.

Needing one front right side motor mount for 05 tl
Hello everyone. I recently bought a used tl and had my motor replaced. My mechanic told me one of my mounts needs to be replaced. Other than the shudder noise, is it bad for me to drive it like that or is it something needed fixed asap

should have addressed the motor mount then....
but, it depends on which one. the side will likely go out first, then the front then the rear.
so, if you do not address it, the others will likely go out.
then your car just wont be smooth with lots of bucking which could do further damage to other components
