So I am in NY and looking for a place to get my car tinted as well as a few other things done. After researching here I found out aobut tintmax and from what I hear they are great. I have been emailing them to get some pricing info and ask a few questions and after my first email it seems like they are not responding anymore. The lack of response makes me weary about giving them business for a few reasons so I guess I am looking for some reassurance from people here who have used them and can vouch for their workmanship and communication.

I can vouch for them. I cant remember the guys name but he did a great job on my car. I even recommended him to my friend who got his s2k tinted.

Definitely one of the best in the new york city area. He put the tint on my car w/ moleskin. Works out of Manhattan most of the time not sure if you want to go out there.

His name is Steve, give him a call. I actually made a appt with him. He is really busy had to made an appt a week in advance, but something came up so I had to cancel. But from other threads, I heard his work is great. I've seen too many TLs in the area that the tint are not done right especially the little strip on the little rear windows.

 

I can vouch for him, did my TL a year ago, prices are higher than some of the other tint shops but he does good work.

Emailing is not always the best way to contact some shops, you have to give him a call and setup an appointment. He almost always answers the phone and can give you quotes on the phone. he installs the moleskins as well.

I also believe he does all the tinting himself so he is pretty busy.

I also recommend Steve and recently used him. The film is computer cut and goes up to the edge of the windows.

 

It's well worth it. I just got mine done last week. Steve did an excellent job and was very meticulous. I had brought my moleskin in because I thought it'd be better than what he was going to put on but turns out, he had better, and didn't charge me for putting his moleskin on. He even gave me a complimentary car wash on the way out. You should probably just call them to get answers and set up an appointment since he is very busy. The one kid is really funny, I don't know his name but he's Greek, he'll have you rolling. You will not regret going to Tint max.

 

i have a guy that does it. $50 a window, 5 windows - $250, and he uses 3m....located in farmingdale

 

Nah just go to Tintmax.. speak to Steve... I've sent many people his way.. done all my cars through him for the past 10 years... when he first started out of his garage. LOL. He's got the contract for NYPD cars, never F's the rear quarter panels up like others. He usually gives the people I send him a break on the price.. so feel free to tell him Raj sent you.

 

I'm defly going to hit him up in a few weeks when I redo my tint.

 

if really want a good install... you can go to Lorenzo Tint in the Bronx... But you have to be willing to PAY$$$ ... when he did my tint... he took off all the door panels and actually removed the third window and tinted it on his work table... he thoroughly protected the whole interior etc etc... he even gave me an ultimate car wash, eventhough it was raining outside that day... tint looks the same eventhough it was over 4 years ago...

 

Just dropped my car off at the body shop and the owner said the same thing about Lorenzo's. I'm going to check both out before I do mine.

 

i had my windows tinted at tintmax and it looks awesome !!! i also got my headlights and taillights tinted there......steven did a great job......u wont be disappointed
