Tinting

I am located in NY. Does anyone know a good place for tinting? There are alot of tinting place if I drive around the block but I don't want to pick one at random. Last time I did I was not happy with the tinting. Do you have any recommendations?

My friend told me the same thing yesterday. Her boss got pulled over in a TL for tints. Have tints become illegal now or just because its to dark? When did the law change?

Every state has legal tint regulations and always have at least for the past 20 years. It's a percentage that is with in tollerance, and essentially if it makes it hard to see in your car its 9/10 illegal. Recently police officers have been cracking down on it in a lot of states as part of a "Anti-terrorism" effort.. but really they just need more revenue cause our economy blows

Where in NY are you? The city?

Tint laws by state:
http://www.tintlaws.com/

Enforcement depends on your area. I recommend going on the lighter side to avoid too much trouble.

I just moved to NY (not the city) and the laws are more strict up here than Jersey, where I lived before. I only had 35% all around and got pulled over (that was a few years ago in Jersey). Luckily I just got a warning, but I decided to take the fronts off to avoid being hassled. My bf just got pulled over last weekend for his tint, but his are much darker so they're more noticeable.

I get mine done at Guaranteed Alarm

3029 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, NY‎ - (718) 646-4110‎

They are not cheap, but I'm always happy with the job that they do.
