The Tint Manual
You can FIGHT that ticket in court. The tint manual states the officer has to clean the window before taking a reading. My friend got pulled over in his 550i for tints and the officer never cleaned his windows with windex. So in court my friend showed them the manual. The ticket was DISMISSED.

Each State has different tint laws. I would look into your State's tint law and see what is and what isnt allowed, etc.
You can probably find the correct procedure on how cops take readings, etc.
