so this isnt a duck but it may be the ugliest baby animal i have ever seen
i came back to work and found him on the ground, hes a baby, idk where his mom is or where his nest is. Idk what to do with him so i brought him inside, hes sitting on my desk lmao, i hope he cant fly...

hes in the box sleeping now, i know hes alive because hes breathing.
ill make him a nest and put it in the box for him when i get home. Ill give him water with an eye dropper. Ill figure out something for food.
Hes not that small so he should be old enough to fly soon

Carrie, you're going to have to go to a pet store and buy a heat lamp and some worms. When you get home put him in a card board box, and make him a little nest with some towels, and put the heat lamp over him. Break up the worms and try to feed them to him. The main thing is to feed him and keep him warm. And don't worry, he's not going to fly anywhere becasue he doesn't have his feathers yet.
The pet store might also have some sort of liquid supplement you can feed him with an eye dropper.
He probably fell out of his nest.....it's going to be tough for him to survive without his mom......

Carrie, I just got off the phone with a guy at the DEP, and he said it's really common for baby birds to fall out of their nests around this time of the year, but even if they do, the parents can stiff care for them on the ground. He gave me a number of a lady named Lynn in Norwich (860-204-9617) who cares for sick and injured birds. He said you could give her a call and she could tell you what to do with him.

i also called my vet and they gave me the # for a local wildlife rehabilitation place, i called that guy and left him a message as well.
waiting for one of them to call me back...

ok the guy called me back
he said if there are 2 birds in the same area then the nest is nearby
he told me there is a developmental stage called fledgling where the bird leaves the nest and tries to be on its own. The bird kinda hops around which is what these birds are doing.
He told me to find a spot in the grass nearby and put the birds back. The mother will come back to feed them. The birds are not supposed to be i the nest at this point.
He told me there is really nothing else you can do.

I will NEVER do business with this place.
-Called to schedule appt to look at a TSX last Wed
-Went there and car wasn't there, they moved it to the body shop
-We were annoyed, were told "sorry, come back next week"
-My fiancee talked to a Sales guy Wed, he said he'd hold the car til she could come in
-Called yesterday, car was pending, an offer had been placed
-Guy was rude on the phone, I told him the situation and he said he'd call me back
-Called my fiancee back, she was pissed off at this point, the customer service had been terrible every time we had dealt with this place (3 times)
-She told him she was not happy with the service and theway things were done there and she was no longer interested and that she would look elsewhere, said thanks, and hung up the phone
-Guy calls her right back and says "You shouldn't hang up on me. Talk to Carlos (guy who was to "hold" the car) and hang on him"
-Jess responds "No thanks I'm not interested, I'm not going to do business with you guys" and hangs up again.
-He calls back AGAIN, she puts him right through to voice mail, she doesn't want to be harassed....
-Sales guy leaves message: ".....You stupid fucking bitch." *click*
-She tells me. My response: OH HELLLLL NO!!!!
-So I'm about to drive down there and throw a shitfit, its not far from where we live, she stops me, says it not worth it.
-Leaves long message with sales manager
-He calls her back today...... DOESN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE.
-He instead accuses her of being rude to his sales guy and provoking him!
-She is speechless and appalled, and tells him she will NEVER do business there, and she'll go out of her way to make sure no one else does business there either
-His response: "Ok, go ahead"
Fucking wow. I can't believe it. I've never heard of a potential customer being treated liek that. And management doesn't give a fuck. I hate that place so much.....
I think I'm calling corporate, or the owner of the dealership... or something.
I want something free. Bitches.

i brought the birdies back outside and put them in the grass in a safe spot where they cant get hurt. They were making a TON of noise so im sure the mother bird will find them and they will be just fine
