NY Car Registration Renewal

OMG!!! I just paid $136.50 to renew it to keep the current plates, $161 to get the new FUGLY ones and around $190 to get the FUGLY ones personalize!! Whatever happened to renewing it for $84 for 2 years?!! In addition, I searched their website thinking the reason why it so expensive is it might be for more than 2 years, but I can't find the information. Im assuming the $136 is only good for 2 years, Can someone confirm that?

$136 sounds right. I think I paid that as well. What you expect man...we in a recession. NY trying to milk every dime out of you. With the new yellow plates they are raking in 126+ million a year i read.

Yeah I think mine is around $190 as well bc of my personalized plates. eh it's pricey but what can we do?

I definitely can't have a nice car without some nice personalized plates. Get some extra attention haha.

That's pretty good. It's $85 a YEAR across the river in NJ. But of course a little of that goes to the inpsection which is free in NJ.
