Need a good shop in NYC to replace timing belt...

So tonight my 06 tl showed 111,111 miles in the dash. I need to change the timing belt and everything else that has to be done at this time as well. Motor mount have to be replaced as I get a big bump when engaging reverse. Acura dealers are charging me over $900 plus tax to replace the belt but I was wondering if you guys know of a reliable shop that will do this in nyc for at a lower cost. Also, if the shocks on the car have never been replaced, would it be a good idea to replaced them now?

if you want to take a trip to jersey you can bring it to this shop in clifton that im working at. we can do it with all honda parts: timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, tensioner and honda type 2 coolant for 600. i used to work at honda for 3 years so your car will be in good hands. pm me if you want to do it.

Wow, it costs that much for a timing belt job? Yikes! I'm used to the $200 Honda Accord jobs. At least now I know and can save up 100,000 miles from now.

Yes, I know, apples and oranges but still...

I'm laughin because timing belt jobs aren't something your average joe can handle. It varies from shop to shop as in dealer to dealer. Lots of places do water pump and tensioners with idlers and seals. Your there already why not just get it done. Ive seen plenty of customers roll through the door ending up either leaving because the price was way too high or nickle and dime the job to there it's just the belt and coolant service. 8 months down the road the water pump locks up and if your engine is a bender your SOL..

I know everyone is having it tough right now but I stress with everyone I'd rather pay 900-1,200 for a T-belt job. It's labor intensive this isn't a oil change it's a timing belt. The place that I work for charged from 1,400+ for the same job but there's a reason for the higher cost... In the end you pay what you get. your car your wallet you decide on how long you want your car to last.
