The Infamous Sound
Greetings AZ/NY
I am a new owner of a 2010 TL SH-AWD and unfortunately being that this is my first post I came across a problem. I'm pretty sure you guys are familiar with the famous knocking sound coming from the engine. And I was told it might a lifter (3 mechanics told me). Is there any way to get this resolved? It happens when idle but not so noticeable but when I hit 3k RPM you can hear it louder especially going pass 3k. Dealer wants $700 and thats not to resolve the problem but to start so it's not guarantee it would stop the sound. I have 54k miles btw. Any shops that can look at it and adjust the valve if possible? My first Acura so I'm pretty puzzled. Located in Queens, NY if anyone can help. Thank you.
