Bumper Bully....... Stolen!?

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. I had my Bumper Bully stolen last night when my car was parked overnight in the upper east side. I can't figure out why anyone would want to steal it. I doubt the crackhead that stole it is actually gonna get any money for it.

BTW, it was the platinum edition, the kind that supposedly has the "steel wire" in the straps that's supposed to prevent theft. Well it turns out that the wire is wrapped in plastic and the actual metal is super thin. I'm pretty sure I can cut through it with a regular pair of scissors.

Now I don't know if I should bother with a replacement. Anyone have any ideas on how to reinforce the straps? I'm parked in the same neighborhood every weekend. I may just have to accept the fact that my bumper is going to get chipped up in the city.

Sorry to hear that your bumper bully got stolen. I some questions that I've wanted to ask everyone who owns one of these items. Is it a removable item? Can it be put in your truk when driving and put back out when you park?

It is completely removeable (very easy) and can be put in away in your trunk while driving; manufacture recommends not driving with it out.

that sucks...i was actually just thinking of buying one just now. i have a bumper badger and even though it protects the bumper from

careless ppl, it still over time does minor damage to the bumper itself.

ppl in the city just dont care. i remember i had a lic plate cover on the back which i had custom made which said "im not speeding, im qualifiying"...some **** ripped it right off my car and left my plate hanging. unless you have a garage, you cant do certain things to your car if you live in nyc.

^^ Agreed, bumper bully protects majority of the bumber, but there's those who think they can squeeze in or out of a tight spot and still manage to rub the corner ends... A$$ holes... I want to get my bumper repaired and painted but I might just wait till after the winter is over...

Im thinking of creating my own bumper protector with something like a 6 by 6 coming out of the trunk like the bumper bully with solid nail spikes coming out of the back n on the bumper side have soft cousion lol (im serious tho)...this way not only to i get to scrap the front bumper of those who hit my **** but i get to see who it is too after the damage is done.

If you have a hitch ball sticking out your bumper and a kool kidz tow hitch on the front you'll be putting a smile on every soccer moms face in NYC in no time.
