Bronx, NY Insurance company recommendations

Wassup everyone,

Looking to leave state farm, the monthly prices just seem to be going up and all they can say is the "area" granted, but I am pretty sure there are better prices out there.

What are you guys using in NYC?

I've been shopping also, found Ameriprise through Costco was priced pretty good.

If you are still looking, Esurance gave me a decent quote.

Thanks, I tried them a lot higher than state farm. Seems as though everyone is raising their rates in the city.

Well, I have Geico and it's a bit expensive because I'm a new driver... A co-worker switched from Geico to Liberty Mutual and told me that what he has much more benefits at L.M. for full coverage on his SUV than he had with Geico. Shop comparison between those insurance companies:

-Geico,
-Liberty Mutual,
-Progressive,
-Nationwide,
- Allstate,
-State Farm,
-Esurance (a branch of / under Allstate),
-21st Century,
-AAA,
-AARP,
-USAA
-Travelers,
-Farmers,
-Direct General

and also check this website:
OnlineAutoInsurance.com

Hope this help.

Surprisingly Geico gave me the best quote, and I just shopped around 1 month ago.

Just priced out Ameriprise - $400 more than Geico

Price should not be the only factor, geico for instance charges for a spousal waiver, whereas other companies do not, try an independent agent, they can really help, for instance, I left geico and for$200 more I have a 500, 000 policy and my umbrella dropped by a $100. The key is how they protect u in an accident, will they fight you every step, like the good hands people or the gecko people, if you were only interested in price you would have purchases a Honda civic, you purchased an acura

I am pretty sure I can find reasonable prices with the same amount of service I have now. State Farm just keeps going up and up with no particular reason.

Which statefarm office do you go to? There's one on Mace and white plains Rd that I used to go to when I had statefarm. I know one of the agents personally.

It's around Westchester square. Do agents control the pricing? If they do I should try another agent.
