Another Victim To Potholes

Driving back home from school today crusing at about 60mph in the right lane and a dam pothole took out my passenger front rim. Funny thing is i try to look out for potholes all day!! couldnt avoid this one, there was a car in my left lane and cars behind me. FTW sucks! Ima take a pic of the pothole tonight.

Wow WTF...Not even 18's are safe. I was thinking of going 18's I'm invest my money on something else. No matter how careful you are its almost impossible to avoid them if you drive daily.

put more air in the tires and blow the tire out before bending the rim, lol

I rather bend a rim and not blow a tire at 60MPH. It does help to have them inflated properly though.

Holy Shit!!!! At least it wasn't a blow out and you could keep control of your car. Are you going to try and fix the rim or just replace it?

The last pothole that I hit on the Deegan forced me to fix a rim and purchase a new tire too

Gotta watch the road more carefully now more than ever. With an impact like that, the wheel can go, but it's better than a suspension component or tire going. Glad you held air pressure, but don't be surprised of the tire bubble up in that area later.

Yeah I was driving on Route 3 in Jersey, hit a pothole in the pouring rain and completely blew my tire out. 3 flat tires within a month because of potholes!

Thank God Continental has a 1 year manufacturer road hazard warranty that comes with the tires, or else I would've been effed.

This winter was real bad on the roads. i normally have my rims back on in march but this year is definately an april year! Dunn on boston road in the bronx can fix it for you quick and inexpensive if you decide to fix it or keep it as a spare. thats where i had rims fixed before.

1&9 from Pulaski skyway on the express there is so many patholes that it looks like swiss cheese. I damaged rim on the inside its holding the air but the rim is bent. Two week earlier i blew a tire in same place. Just try to avoid that place its worth to pay and take turnpike. Last year i destroy rim too. I think im going to go back to 17" rims and bigger tire profile
