Hey all, i just got notification that my TSX is part of the power steering recall. For those of you in NYC, would you recommend the Acura of Manhattan or Acura of Brooklyn dealership? Any past experiences?

 

If Acura of Brooklyn = Paragon Acura, then I would stay far, far away. Based on many experiences on this forum, it seems like a VERY shady dealership.

Do some searches in the model specific forums and you should be able to find some posts about that dealership.

 

Woops lol, right after i posted this i realized it was in the wrong place. But nah the Paragon Acura is in Queens. That seems odd seeing how the customer ratings for that dealer are actually quite high compared to other Acura Dealers in NYC, and a much higher number of reviews too. But then again most of them are reviews for new car sales not the repair department

 

I did some snooping around and it seems that all 3 dealers in the nyc area are absolutely horrendous. Some threads are advising everybody to go to ones out in LI, NJ, or upstate NY

Yea i read that one was pretty good CGP. I'm going to have to venture out of the nyc area and go to one of these dealers. 37 minutes from my house without traffic. If i go that far out though i'm going to need a loaner car...

 

Just got off the phone with a representative with Rallye Acura, apparently they only give out loaners to those who purchased their car there =\. Guess i can't go to that one.

Will do thanks! I've heard that Curry Acura is the best around here, are they talking about their sales team or their service department though? I'm almost afraid to leave my car in the hands of a guy who's gonna do a terrible repair, go for a joy ride or break some stuff.

BTW! Paragon Acura offered me a loaner car but on the 24th of June... but based on their terrible reviews i dunno if i should take it lol.

 

if your car is stock, then its fine. go to paragon.
if it is modded, like my car is modded, then go to curry or rallye roslyn.
you only really need to worry about joyrides/abuse/part theft if the car is modded. what fun is anybody gonna get out of a car that they could drive in the lot? lol you know?

manhattan and brooklyn are known for parts being stolen for long procedures.

 

and paragon, well theyre just all douchebags. all about the money over there. they cheat car fax reports and do a lot of things off the books so that it wont show up in the records.

 

Hmmm...I thought it was corporate policy to give out loaner cars on big jobs? Bought my car in NJ and had my car in for service in Boston 5 times and each time they gave me a loaner, one time an RL too!
