Are Acura drivers united?
This morning I spot a red 07/08 tl type s driving right beside me on the 495 LIE west at about 8am. She was blonde and her car was brought from valley stream. I gave her a few look to try to greet her but she was just looking straight onto her windshield. We were stuck in traffic and going 10mph I wonder whether or not she didnt' see me or she tries not to look at me on purpose.
This happened a few times in the past as I always try to greet fellow 07/08 type s owners.
So question is... when you see a fellow acura owner especially the one that drives the same model as you, do you try to say Hi or wave or thumbs up or you basically dont care....

Hahaha, I'm all the way in Chicago but go into NY for business a few times a year. I do greet fellow Type-S owners...but not TLs, too many to greet.

I'm looking into owning 2 cars. 1 coupe or convertible and 1 sedan. Recently, i'm in love w/ the audi s4 but i dont wanna get 2 sedan =[. Perhaps i'll grab m3 for summer/joy ride.
PS - I dont drive like a street racer but the feeling that the car is capable of driven that way kicks ass.

For sure! Thanks. Last time I was hoping they would pay me to drive it but I flew. I stayed at the Sheraton in Weehawken but wandered NYC alone when I got the chance since it was my 1st time there. I'll probably be back out in the Spring.
Acura drivers arent unique enough for this. its like the honk and wave movement in the cali thread.
I've personally approached several Acura drivers telling them about acurazine but they just shrug me off.
I'll always wave at acurazine drivers but those are few and far in between.

All we have here are teenagers thatll try to race you in thier stock A/T RSX, and old business men or stuck up snobby bitches that drive TL's sooooooooooo no i dont wave hahaha
When Im in NY I see lots of Acuras and I always look to see if I know them from azine
so really i guess it depends whos driving the car idk

When I just got my TL, I tried to wave, but most of the TL people in Brooklyn dont care.
Now when I had my Scion tC, people were a lot more friendly. I guess because they were very rare back then (summer 2004 when they just came out) and its more special to own a rare car.

I guess this is very common for lots of cars. Like 335i. Everytime i see them, i think they are cool but i bet they hate it that there are 971929172891 328i in new york.
Another reason why i'm still debating on the s4. Way too many A4s. If the s5 have the turbo 6 cyc, i would be driving it already.

Funny that this thread should be posted.
The other night, i slowed down to the stoplight, next thing I noticed, a 04/05 white TL pulls up right next to me. (I drive an 04 Nighthawk). As soon as the light turned green, lmao, we didn't floor or anything, we just gradually increased our speed. (I'm assuming his was all stock like mine :P) We approached our exit onto the highway and there was a van, so I merged to the left lane and the white TL stayed on the right side, basically we "surrounded" the van. Next thing, the van steps on the brakes.
That moment was priceless.

i look at them but i dont do anything...but when i see younger people driving and they see mine then they just stare, or sometimes a thumbs up or they will ask me to pull over lol

I'm liking the roof spoiler too and all those "wind deflector" whatever u call it. once i'm again im a mod noob. i only know cars in stock. their price/hp 0-60 etc etc.
I wanted to put them up before but i think they look horrible w/o tints and i'm afraid of the ticket. My salesman told me that i had to sign some paper about understanding that i'll get tickets or something when i wanted them to do the tints before i pick up the car.
