Things to do in Oregon (Family)
OK guys, so parents just arrived in Oregon. What do you guys suggest as a family thing?
I'm looking at the Wallowa Lake Tramway and it looks pretty interesting. I've also been to the Multnomah waterfalls so that's one place I'll take them.
Basically places that don't require too much physical activity and allows us to see something that we don't see everyday.
Any other places you think might be a good place?

Mt. Hood, you may be able to get rides up the chair lifts at Timberline, gives a pretty impressive view. The beaches, Cannon Beach, Lincoln City, Newport are always good spots. Waterfront and westside of downtown. Japanese gardens, rose garden those are good too
coast course
start from astoria, head down south by highway101. stop at seaside, cayon beach (eat clam chowder @ mo's), tillamook (eat chesse @ tillamook factory), lincoln city (chinook casino & tanger outlet), newport (crabbing), comeback to lincoln city, head west to spirit mountain casino (fill up your tummies at the buffet), take N-I5 and stop at woodburn for some tax free shopping, and come home.
hot springs course
- bonneville hot springs. less than a hour drive from portland. mineral bath & wrap is a must.

- bagby hot springs. another great hot springs. you'll have to hike about 1mile but its very easy course.

Silverfalls state park. Has like 8 waterfalls on the trails and a few that you actually walk behind the water. Awesome place and about 1.5 hrs or less from portland. A bit physical if you plan on going the whole 6-8 miles of trail but its on the novice scale for hiking so its not bad. You can catch 3 of the large falls if you just do the front end and drive to the back end and walk down the north falls. And all 3 of those you can walk behind the water curtain. Theres also the Oregon Gardens out in Silverton which is like 10 mins from silverfalls.

Silverfalls has a day use fee which is like $3 or $5 per vehicle, i cant remember which one. The oregon gardens has admission fees which are listed on their site.
Agree with the Rose Gardens, it's quick. You can also visit the Japanese Gardens while you're in the viscinity. Willamette Falls, Beacon Rock, Rooster Rock along with Multnomah Falls. What do your parents like to do? What are their interests?
There are three air Museums to visit. Tillamook Naval Air Station Museum, Evergreen Air Museum and Pearson Air Museum (Vancouver).
Nike Campus might interest them, who knows. After living in an area for many years all the highlights tend to become invisible and hard to remember
