suggestions around Portland, OR?

I'm making a trip from LA to Portland, OR this weekend....anything that I should check out while I'm there? any good spots that is only around in this area? I'm gonna be driving up so anything on the way up works.

Portland is famous for our Micro-brews and strip clubs. However, there are plenty of other great things to drink and see in PDX.

1. Views are pretty nice from Washington Park
2. We have some really great restaurants.
3. Waterfront on the Willamette river is really pretty and there are walking/bike paths on both sides of the river.
4. Downtown Portland is a good place to start.

If you wish to explore the nightlife I recommend taking a look at the bar-fly magazine for ideas.

not sure what you are into and how much time but on the way up you could see crater lake.. there is also the oregon vortex crater lake is one of the deepest in the world and this time of year the view is great.. and the oregon vortex there are only a few vortex's in the world so its kind of neat to see
