Nah, i normally use the garage at my dads house. With the rain i cant take his mustang out of the garage, so im gonna have speed concept do it.

So far it hasnt showed up yet, so i may have to call and let speed concept know im not gonna make it in.

Let me know how the car brakes now. My girlfriend had the best description of mine so far. "Its not right how fast the car stops" I can literally hear the dash binding up when i really brake hard

very curious how loud atlp will be. also very curious how raspy it will get with precat deletes + atlp jpipe + atlp test pipe + atlp catback system. besides, it'll smell pretty bad too

it won't smell bad with the 3rd cat intact. but after swapping out 3rd cat with atlp test pipe, it'll smell pretty good. my tsx used to smell bad time to time too depending on the wind direction

if its not a deq issue, i want precat delete along with j-pipe and replace current atlp testpipe with the atlp highflow cat. it'll surely gain some more low-end torque and some horsepower while staying quiet

I have a garage and all the tools, but I can't get you in before next weekend lol. I am out of town tomorrow till wednesday. If Speed Concept can't get you in by next weekend let me know and we can DIY it here. Sounds like they may get you in though.

As to the cat talk with the RT cat I only sometimes smell if I run it hard up the 217 hill to 26 otherwise it never smells. But our Pilot does the same thing on that hill lol. I have heard that test pipes can leave some smells but no first hand experience. Can you pass DEQ with a test tipe?

if deq does a visual inspection, it'll fail. also if it smells pretty good than probably they'll notice

my test pipe from atlp comes with brackets so that oem heat shield covers up the test pipe.

sounds great!

Sitting down here in sunny San Diego at a business meeting, I think I just might move.... LOL

I have noticed a bit better gas mileage with the weather cooling down but I can attribute that to no A/C... Probably should get around to cleaning up the air filter...

Isnt it like 10% Ethonal now?

My milage went to crap after sunday....too much time spent around 3-4k rpm range with the new exhaust.

So whos going to PIR this weekend? Probably the last good weekend of the season.

Knock on wood, no flu here yet.

Im debating if its worth it to remove my rear seat....
Im thinking i will, because i just found that one of my bolts is missing from when it was taken out after i was rear ended, gives me a excuse to fix it.

while youre at it take out the passenger seat =) save a few more pounds.. might as well get the carbon hood too of course that will cost some more money but the others are free weight savers make sure to be down to 1/4 tank cause gas adds mass =)

I leave the passenger seat in. The girlfriend is going with me on friday. Yea last time i ran all i removed was my sub, spare, and whatever was in the car that wasnt needed. Had a 1/4 tank of gas, and ran that 14.7.

The hardest thing is getting the car to cool down, my fastest run was my first run. Each one after got slower and slower. I thought about throwing a couple washers under the brackets for the hood, but dont want to look ghetto. Plus it would be pointless, once i hit the return lane i pop my hood to let cool air enter, crank heater full blast. Then once im back to the staging lanes i have hood open, fans running, heater still blasting and i struggled to get under 160deg water temps. ( Use water temps as a reference to engine temps. Only temp gauge my ScanGauge has. )

This weekend should be easier to keep temps down, id guess temps in mid 50s by 7-8 oclock.

Helmet rule only applies to convertibles, and sub 14.0 second cars.

5$ to rent one though aint bad.

Maybe i can squeak into a 14.5 now that im not running heavy ass ASPECs and ive free'd up a couple more HP with exhaust, especially if i remove some weight.
