I know it's a long shot, but the guy I was working for had just finished his post-doc in the lab of K. Barry Sharpless in La Jolla......since Sharpless won the Nobel, my prof (Chris Nichols) had been eager to get his real research started.....


And i just found out that the person who did the research again the following semester got it to work (had enough yield for verification), and then got it published.....i swear to god, the whole fucking world is against me

Well fellas, the S60 is ready for it's STM cherry poppin tommorrow....even went and got the resonator removed, so i can hear the turbo spool a little more......although it won't sound like TTZYo.....

Some good news and some bad news.

The good news, Acura of Concord is replacing my TL with a brand new one . They didn't have it on the lot, so they are driving one up from a Acura dealer in the South Bay. It will arrive later on today or tomorrow morning.

The bad news, I won't be able to go to the Sac Town meet . I need to test drive that car like a mofo tomorrow and need to re-do paper work (my interest rate has gone up .15% ~$3 /month).

Sorry fellas, but I need to get this shit taken care of once and for all.

Also, the dealer is offering me the 7 yr 100K mile warranty for $1295. Is that a good deal?

the ECU takes me to 260hp and 310tq....with a DP and cat-back those number would go to 290hp and 370tq


not bad for 2.4L and 5 cylinders

as long as the 7yr/100K starts with delivery of THIS TL, that's not bad...make sure that is in the contract, though


Sucks you can't come, but I'm sure we'll have another meet soon enough...

1,700 isn't that bad.. I put about $70 less into my final drive....

They are planning one in the Bay on Oct. 15th. We will get another meet started after tomorrow. We'll make sure it's after your liscense is all good.

Compared to what I got, NO. When I got my CL I told them I didn't want it because they charge too much. I got the Manager to give it to me @ cost which was $800.

As far as I know, you can get an extended warranty right up until your current warranty runs out.

and is it same price as when u buy the car or cheaper?

Depends on the dealer. Some dealers may see you buying the warranty after some time as an opportunity to charge you more. Shop around since you can use the warranty at any dealership.

There are a couple of 7yr/100K mile warranties. $50 deductible and $0. Make sure you know what you're getting. You can also do a search and find it cheaper.

It was a very nice day for a dyno. Temp was about 65-68 degrees outside and about 74 degrees inside. Unofficial #'s were 270WHP on each run. However, after adjustment for correction, ~250WHP (~13% loss) which is what I was hoping for. After CT i/h/e are installed I'll get another dyno run and post the official #'s
