Same thing happen to me. I took my TL to Nielo Acura on Madison and they removed the old drain plug and changed my oil and filter for me for only $15. Granted I brought my own oil, filer and new drain plug. Just an easy alternative. Oh and they even threw in a free car wash.

Depends on how your set up is. Some places won't even do the alignment if they see that your ride is slammed...but we do have a place here in SJ that has their alignment equipment is on the ground so you don't have to drive your car "up" the ramp...

I recently did the Firestone lifetime alignment. I used the one in Elk Grove, they ate lowered car friendly and seem to know what they were doing. My car still pulls to the right but that may be from other issues.

If I only lived in SJ!! Thanks for the info though, appreciate it.

Elk grove huh? Thats not bad if they're lower friendly. I'm not slammed but I'd like to be lower so I just wanted to see what options there are out here. I'll look into the one at EG, thank you!

i have the firestone life time alignment and have tried half the shops in the sac area but only two have the 'low friendly' in ground lifts. Elk Grove and Roseville. I've been to the Roseville but not the eg.. not all of them have fast service but most do good work

welcome to sac, always great to have more 3gs in the area =]

Thanks Vic! I'll give EG a try and if all fails I'll go to Roseville. Thanks for the tips as well. I'd rather have it done right so I'm in no rush when it comes to the car lol.

And thank you! Just moved up here 2 months ago for school, I'm from the bay area

+1 for the Firestone in Elk Grove. That's where I take the CL. They say they get lowered cars all the time since they have an in ground system.

He's just looking for a cheap place to do a one time alignment. But if your keeping a car for a long time, lifetime alignments are worth it. They break even at 3 alignments or so.

Hello fellas,

I just purchased the HT Spec Stage 1 kit with rotors, pads, and SS lines for my 08 TL Type S. Any of you know if the Firestone in Elk Grove you're talking about would do the brake isntall for me? I'm I need of some tires too so maybe I can get a combo discount with them seems like they're reputable if your vouching for them.

Hey guys, just to let you all know the guy that can do really good Aliment in the EG Firestone is NOT there any more. If you go there you will get some Joe that don't know much about lower cars nor can do custom aliment and so go at your own risk. I do have their lifetime aliment too, But i don't go there anymore cause they just suck at aliments for lower cars anyways. There is this one guy who can do really good aliment for any lower cars and he is in West sac. more info just pm me.

Yeah... miss the bay area everyday that it's hot and humid here haha yeah hopefully i can make it too a meet that isn't on a weekend, but chances are low on that. maybe if it's a large event that sac members will attend, i'll request the weekend off.

as for the alignment lol, i guess we'll have to see how they do, but still havent found the time to work on the car so maybe after mid terms -_-

What chu talking about? It's not humid here. The bay is humid with all that fog. We get humidity in the teens here during the summer.

Why not do it yourself? I haven't done SS lines before but if your interested, I can give you a hand on the pads and rotors. I can knock those out no problem.

Tim Fry is the guy your talking about, I still have his business card.
I've been there a few times after he left and I've had no problems with them aligning my car but mine isn't that low. It shouldn't been too hard to have them dial in the settings you want or to get within factory specs. I'm sure they still get lowered cars and the guys there are pretty chill.
I'll continue to go there still.

Big O Tires off of stockton blvd is charging me 100 + tax to do the brake installs so I figure its not that much since I do not have the tools and my garage is a damn mess.

Now if you're wiling to help me out on my Tein SA install when I get that in that would be AWESOME!!! Plus I can finally meet up with you Sac Folks...

Never done suspension before so you probably don't want me touching that stuff. I'm down to meet though.

Suspension, brake pads and rotors are easy. I've done all that a few times. Even brake lines aren't much of a problem except that blending them you need two people and some patients...maybe a few beers too

I'm down to help out some sac area aziners if our schedules match up

Also a meet soon might be needed
