Looking For Full Paint Job

Looking For Full Paint Job
I'm looking for a referral to a shop (or individual) that will still paint an entire vehicle at a reasonable price. I'm in East Co Co County and will gladly drive anywhere between Sac and San Jose if I can find someone to paint my 99 TL with a two stage white paint job. I'm tired of the pearl, and it's really showing it's age (chips, door dings, oxidization, etc).
One local shop said $5k to $6k (ludicrous!), and another said that they just don't do full paint jobs anymore because it is not "cost effective." Apparently, many shops have gone to just doing insurance work touch ups because it pays so much better. Frickin bogus!
If anyone knows who will still paint a whole car (and knows what they are doing) for a reasonable price, I would greatly appreciate the hook up. Thanks.

A lot of small shops won't do it because like what was said, what it boils down to is that it's too big of a job. Have you tried talking to Mike Rose Autobody? There's one in Antioch and they do an EXCELLENT job. I've gone there twice and as picky as I am, I fell very comfortable recommending them. Go see Travis or Nicolette, they are great people to work with. They guarantee their work for 10 years, too.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I guess it has just been so long since I've priced anything like this, I am very surprised by the numbers. I did check with Maaco online and their top 2 stage job is quoting out around $2,600. I am yet to check in with Mike's Autobody. I will though. I will keep looking around and see what options are out there. Thank you to everyone for the info. Greatly appreciated.

if the paint job costs you less than 4k, id be hesistant to say youll get anything resembling a quality paint job. DO NOT GO TO MAACO LOL!!!!!
i got my car sprayed at Master's Auto Body (as well as a whole lot of other work)..its a bit out of the way, but you have confidence in a good paint, done the right way, for a fair price. car is dissambled and painted in pieces; everything except under the hood.
