im trying to get the best price and place i can goto for my muffler welding. just picked up some magnaflows...looking to get them on the cl...anyone have recommendations on a shop and around how much did you pay to get two mufflers on? thx

 

In SJ area try Babes & Lightning Muffler shop (408) 294-8092 & talk to Kurt...he's the owner and he worked on my CL before when I had my Tanabe's *sigh* installed....

When I did exhaust work I probably would have quoted you 105. 70 on a good day.

Before I started doing my own work I went to Johnny Franklin's mufflers in San Rafael. They did very good work. I don't know any place in SF. I worked at a shop in Davis

 

yea, thats too far for me. ill have to call around....i hope its going to be around the price you mentioned...

 

Our prices were pretty much 70/muffler but because the car would already be in the air I'd half the install price for the second one.

 

whats a good welding shop that does TIG welding? everybody does MIG and its kinda ugly... been searching for a while, i want one of those turn down exhaust tips and i think it is just ss tubing tig welded downwards right?

Good shops can make very good looking mig welds. TIG is a little more expensive because it uses a different gas and more expensive metal.

Davis Muffler did MIG and TIG when I was there. 2bennet auto in Daivs also does welding but only on Audi's.

 

my friend got his custom exhaust made from this place down on Folsom street... want some info on that?
