I'm looking to basically change the stock sub for another that gives me that extra kick, something better basically. I don't want to add a box to my trunk because I'm constantly carrying things around and need all that space...not sure what my options are since I don't know much about audio hahaha..btw anyone know how to eliminate the rattle from the rear deck of the car?

^those subs arent designed for infinite baffle. Can't say if itll be worth your time to do the labor

on another note. redid the site today.. less photobloggy and a little more pro-looking i suppose. still lots of work to be done. looks cluttered... http://distinctivdetailing.com

It looks better than before but it does look a bit cluttered. I'd get rid of that plugin at the bottom and clean up the pages by removing the redundancies. The Facebook and Twitter plugins are pretty key though in today's market (something I should consider when I eventually redesign my page). Also, try as much as possible not to put any "under construction" pages as it takes away from your site. It's just better to exclude it all together than include it partially.

If you want something to reference, you could check out my site. There may be some elements of my site that you may like and some that you may dislike. www.devilpad.com. While it's not exactly crucial but I still haven't included my company logo that I have been working on for a long while. I just need to get it properly designed and use it for getting shirts/apparel made for when I'm at a job site or going to car shows/events.

Hope that helps.

its doable. if you want a slightly better sound i would suggest buying a kicker 10" cvr + any amp 1000watt rated i prefer kicker or kenwood amps (although they will be more pricey) any amp will do though. you also need the correct cables and stuff. btw do you have the stock radio or aftermarket?

thats one option, another is to get a fusion bass tube which is actually a very nice setup without costing much space. plus its easily removable. you can email me for more questions or if you need any help. jardinjeremy@yahoo.com

@adrian if youre going to put a 12" L7 in there be ready for the rattle. also the L7 isnt designed to be open like the stock sub. you need to fab a custom fiberglass or wood box to go around the bottom of the sub. im actually thinking about doing this with my car, i think it would fit nicely and sound great. i used to have two 15" L7s in my trunk and loved the sound. switching back to stock killed a piece of me

Thanks for the tips Denz. Those two pages with the 'under const' should only be around for a day or two before I start putting things in. I partially agree with the bar on the bottom (It's kind of a quick link to everything on the site), as it could be hidden by just clicking the hide button on the bottom right (and stays hidden everytime you visit). Need to get a banner & logo going as well!

I like the your re-did site too, I remember checking it out last year and it was very plain with just b&a pics + package or somethin ike that. It's much easier to navigate now and to look for what you want.

Perhaps Johnny? I'm a bit too far and I charge a mobile fee. I'd still do it though if your asst. mgr was game.

To all: anyone know any hook ups in the car audio department? not looking to upgrade too much, perhaps a new amp for my sub and thinking of getting a capacitor, also want to clean up the wires and placement of amps. Price range of about $400..looking for someone in and around Castro Valley/San Leandro/Hayward..not really looking to go to a shop because they tend to rip you off..i have a guy in San Jose but pretty far..lmk thanks!
