New member here, and new to Acura! Enjoying the community so far. Already seen some other members I recognize from other forums. I like to overall positive mentality here. Can't wait to be a full blown member, which leads me to my question.
I'm aware that I'm not allowed to start new threads in the Off Topic section; however, I've noticed that I can't even reply to threads in this section of the forum. That's not what the notice says, so just wanted some clarification. Am I missing something?

I see you've replied to other threads since you posted this. Are you still having the problem you posted about?

 

Hey, yeah I am. It's specifically the Off Topic section of the forum and the sub forums within OT. I can post fine in other areas. It's not that big of a deal, I just figured it was a misconfiguration of the user class I'm in.

 

If it's OT then you still have to wait for 3 more days for your account to be upgraded.

When you said "can't even reply to threads in this section of the forum" did you mean this specific forum because I'm not aware there is any restriction on that but I can check on it if you did mean this forum.

 

Sorry, I should have probably said "that forum" in my initial post to avoid confusion.

The banner at the top says: "during your trial period you will not be able to start threads in the Off Topic and Black Market sections of the site"

I figured I wouldn't be able to start a new thread in OT or BM, but I thought I could at least reply to threads that were already started in those sections.

 

I know for sure that new members can reply to posts in the Marketplace, and I'm pretty sure they can reply to posts in OT. Let me know if this is not correct.

 

Right, the Off Topic Discussion > Ramblings section and all sub forums beyond that, (e.g. Cameras & Photography, Console & Computer Gaming, etc.) - Not able to reply to threads.

 

Agreed, Marketplace seems to work fine when trying to reply.
